Open the box, meet a tiny highland cow, and play vet for the afternoon. Real photos, real kids, real play — no screens required.

Simple, hands-on pieces that come together to make a whole afternoon of pretend.

A squishable little patient just waiting to be named, adopted, and loved.
A mini STEM project! Kids piece together their very own working stethoscope before they get to use it.
Tweezers, a funnel, gauze, a brush, and self-stick bandage wrap for patching up a 'hurt' leg — everything a tiny vet needs to get to work. Wrap, unwrap, repeat.
Surprise missions to solve, one card at a time. Will it be a sore leg? A tangled mane? A mystery ailment? Open and find out!
A cozy little fold-together house with paper bedding inside — and paints included so kids can decorate their Highland's home however they imagine it.
A blank bandana kids design themselves using the markers in the kit — every Mini Highland gets a one-of-a-kind look.
Two Highland-themed coloring pages to bring to life with the markers tucked inside the box.
Make it official with the adoption certificate, then step into character: wear the vet name badge around the neck, carry the small canvas vet bag, and tie on the custom bandana.
Six little steps from lifting the lid to a brand-new best friend. The box starts it — your kid takes it from there.
Open the box and see all the fun that's waiting inside — a whole little world tucked into one tiny package.
Pick the perfect name and fill out the official adoption certificate. Your new patient is ready to meet their vet!
Fold together the mini cow house and decorate it however you like — every Highland cow needs a place to call their own.
A little STEM moment! Piece together your very own working stethoscope before the first patient arrives.
Surprise! Maybe a burr in the fur, a sore leg, or a tangled mane. Time to grab the tools and save the day.
Reset the kit for round two — or join the Mission Club for fresh adventures every month.
Kids name their cow, tackle a surprise challenge, and take care of them through a few small "missions." It's a quiet, hands-on kind of play that's good for an afternoon — and easy to come back to.

The whole shebang — plush cow, build-your-own stethoscope, pretend tools, situation cards, adoption certificate, and a tiny cow house.

We'll wrap your box in pretty paper, tie it with ribbon, and tuck in a handwritten gift tag. Ready to give, straight from the porch.

Top it all back up — fresh pom-pom burrs, a brand-new bandage wrap, and crinkly paper bedding.

Two themed STEM challenges for 2–5 kids to tackle together. All the materials they need are included — just pick the theme that matches your kit.
One box. One theme. One unforgettable party. Perfect for birthdays, classrooms, scout troops, and group adventures of all kinds.
Also great for your next family vacation to keep the littles busy — or a cousins-get-together weekend.
The complete individual box, included with every party pack order. Because the birthday kid deserves something extra special.
One for every adventurer to take home — themed to your pack.
Official and personalized — every kid leaves with bragging rights.
Gear up the whole crew before the mission begins.
Two surprise group missions your crew tackles together — the same situation cards from the individual kit, scaled for the whole group.
Hands-on projects the whole group works through side by side.
Step-by-step for whoever's running the show — no stress, all fun.
Thank you for supporting meaningful play!
My daughter named her cow Luna and wore her around camp all day.
Good for an afternoon at the table — no screens, no mess.
She keeps going back to it. We've already asked about the refill.

Abbie, Trey & Lily
Wife to Trey, mama to Lily, educator, curriculum creator, and the heart behind daily.hodgepodge.
This upcoming school year marks my 10th year in education, and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m heading into my second year as a founding teacher at Salt and Light Academy, where I’ve had the incredible opportunity to help build a school culture centered around God, grit, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences. Watching this school grow from the ground up has been one of the greatest joys of my career.
Before joining Salt and Light Academy, I spent four years as a specialist teacher — one year as a Math Specialist and three years as a Gifted & Talented Specialist. During that time, I helped develop and grow the gifted program, and it was there that I truly fell in love with curriculum design and creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences for kids. I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction while still teaching full time in the classroom.
Prior to becoming a specialist, I taught both 3rd and 5th grade, spending two years in each classroom. Those years shaped so much of who I am as an educator and taught me the importance of making learning feel exciting, memorable, and meaningful for children.
Creating these themed activity boxes has brought together everything I love most — education, creativity, storytelling, hands-on learning, and imaginative play. Every box is thoughtfully curated with the hope that children feel inspired, curious, capable, and excited to learn through play.
Thank you for being here and supporting this little dream of mine. I’m so grateful you found your way to daily.hodgepodge.
Made for kids roughly 4–10. Younger ones love the plush and pretend; older kids enjoy the situation cards.
Yes. No apps, no QR codes — just the box and what's inside.
No — and that's part of the magic! New themed boxes will drop throughout the year, each one bringing a completely different imaginative experience. While one box may invite your child into the world of veterinary care and animal rescue, another might transform them into engineers, explorers, scientists, bakers, gardeners, or problem-solving adventurers. Every box is carefully curated with unique dramatic play materials, STEM-based activities, creative challenges, and hands-on missions designed to spark curiosity and independent exploration. The goal is to give children fresh opportunities to create, build, investigate, and imagine in new ways — all without overwhelming parents with complicated setup or cleanup.
Most kids get a good few sessions out of one box. The Mission Club is there if they want more.
Yes — the box is packaged simply and is ready to give as-is.
When the consumables (pom-poms, bandage, bedding) run low, the Refill restocks them.
